This cottage accommodates 2 guests and is one of our newer cottages.  The bedroom configuration is one bedroom with a king size bed.

Eaglesnest is fully self contained and enjoys breathtaking views overlooking the Southern Ocean and into the valley. Distance to the beach is approximately 1 kilometre.

Guest Review

A warm and extremely cosy cottage with everything you could possibly require for rest and relaxation. Stunning views across the valley to the sea, amazing walks and wildlife, and a genuinely friendly welcome from all staff. The chook eggs were the best we have ever had and we will certainly be back.

Any amazing holiday in a perfect secluded location. These cottages a very comfortable and provide a great home away from home An ideal place to stay when visiting and Great Ocean Road. We look forward to return visit.

The cottages are clean and quite with views of the sea perfect for a relaxing getaway – and the best part is that they are dog friendly – we are going there for the second time in November and cannot wait!!!

I have stayed here several times and found it a fantastic getaway. The privacy of the cottages is a real plus and the beach is amazing. The owners clearly have a passion for the area. We will be back again very soon.

Excellent accommodation, amazing scenery and surrounds & well run.
Cant ask for much more.

I only stayed two nights, no where near long enough.
Ill be going back sometime, and itll be for a week!

we have been to johanna seaside cottages many times now and just don’t really want to go anywhere else all the cottages we have stayed in are always so clean and well equiped, but its not just that its joy evans & her staff who are so nice and helpful. the vegie garden for you to pick fresh, also if you wish, collect your breakfast egg from the chook pen, so many things the awesome view, the peace, also most important its pet friendly so the whole family can have a holiday together, i just don’t want to go home .

Johanna Seaside Cottage was a fantastic place. Beautiful scenery, great walking, and lots for doggies to do. I think the special touches to the cottage to make all guests, including the four -legged guests comfortable really made it special and unique. I would highly recommend the cottages to anyone.

What a great experience … location , accommodation ,comfort, staff , facilities and the views !!! As well as being dog friendly .
A perfect spot to explore the Otways or just relax with beach walks and fishing.

It is the most relaxing place to be. My husband doesn’t like staying in hotels/motels as he finds with his bad back and leg he cannot get comfortable. But at Johanna it is the most enjoyable relaxing place with the most comfy lounges. Listening to the waves crush is tranquil. We are always made to feel welcome and I look forward to collecting eggs and vegies from the garden. We are looking forward to going there again. Big bonus is that it is pet friendly.

We had a greagt holiday. It was so nice that we could have our 2 dogs with us and did plenty of walking with them along the spectular beach

Nestled in a valley between the sea and a rainforest, Johanna’s is a slice of heaven. I have been there on both a romantic weekend away and a fishing trip with mates. Johanna’s was perfect for both.

We have stayed there many times and have always had a wonderful, relaxing time. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Take yr binoculars as there are always things happening on the farm to watch from the cottages, or go down yourself and see the calves or pick your own vegetables and collect some fresh eggs whilst you are at it. The beach walks are amazing. The Otways and Apollo Bay are not far away and the journey along the roads to these places keeps the senses going

We have now stayed 4 times in 3 different cottages. What a great place to stay and unwind from the usually hectic pace of Melbourne’s CBD. Fantastic views, even in rough, stormy conditions, watching the weather come across the ocean or ranges whilst sipping a good red in front of the cosy log fire. Superb ! The dog loves it to with great runs along the beach and safe, enclosed quarters at the cottage. We wiil be back, again and again and ……

Wonderful secluded location. Just loved waking up early for a walk on the beach and collecting some fresh eggs from the resident chooks. Great location to bring you pet.

I came to stay on the Johanna cottages, and it was one of the most relaxing places that i stayed in australia. The land was beautiful, along with the cottage view, the peaceful animals, and most of all the close access to the beach. The beach was amazing, with a nice long hike connected to it, and the soothing ocean. The owners are very nice, i stayed for five days and we bonded really well, we still stay in touch, and best of all they made me feel like i was home. I very much recommend this place, for a romantic vacation, or get away.

This is a first rate place for a romantic getaway, the drive to the hilltop accommodation suggests of everything romantic. Or equally for a family to enjoy a quiet but potentially active getaway with the luring walks and the beach just a short stroll away. Best of all you can enjoy your time away with your pooch. The hosts are considerate and approachable. The best place for a life recharge, you will leave invigorated.

Joanna provided a true ‘gettaway’ holiday for the whole family including our pet CoCo. With unbelievable scenery, mountainous backdrop to ocean views you are transformed into another world.
The beauty is second to none,as you navigate this pristine location and take advantage of the true natural wonders Joanna and surrounds have to offer.
An unbelievable and truly unforgettable experience which the whole family thoroughly enjoyed.

We just loved our week at Johanna Seaside Cottages - so much we've booked again for next year! The puppy dogs (Molly & Danny) loved it too - so much for them to explore and experience. I think they have post-holiday blues!
Johanna is a truly beautiful and secluded place - with both nature and comfort at the cottages. My morning hill jogs were well worth it!
Joy and staff are very helpful and friendly. The vegie garden is a real plus (and also the chooks!)

Johanna Seaside Cottages have been a huge part of my life since I was 6 years old! My family has been coming here since 1988 and will continue to do so for as long as possible! All the cottages are so relaxing with the most breathtaking views ever and the amount of amazing activities means that whether you are there for 2 of 7 nights its never long enough! Joy and the rest of the crew are so welcoming and accommodating and make up the main reason why it is such a beautiful holiday destination! If you stay here you will definitely be drawn back and if you're lucky it will become a part of your family too! My husband has now fallen in love with it and I'm sure we'll be bringing our kids here when we have some! Well done Joy and thanks for all the fantastic times and special memories!
