We stayed at the Glen View cottage which was perfect. Fire was lit for us when we arrived and had everything you could need. We had spectacular views over the fields and to Johanna beach. We took our staffy and she loved running around the property. Would have loved to have stayed longer and will definitely go back.

Beautifully maintained farm grounds and cottage with everything you need. Well equipped and spacious kitchen. Homely and comfortable. Brilliant log fire on a cold and wet winters night warmed the entire house and made for a cosy evening indoors.
My dog was welcome and loved the freedom.

The reading material about the local area, history and geology was very interesting.
The chook house and vegetable garden accessible to guests was an added unexpected treat.

My stay at the Rivernook cottage was bliss. The location is gorgeous and the cottages are beautiful and well appointed. Everything I needed was there. I wish I could've stayed longer and will definitely be back.
It's great to find a pet friendly accommodation like this where we felt so welcome.

Views that make your mornings special and soothing. Our pet loved to jump and run around. Beautiful location and fully equipped. Very accommodating owners and quiet location. Our second visit in two years and many more to come.

Great location with magic views. The cottage was well appointed and cosy. I didn't tire of looking at the rolling greens or a short stroll to our very own private picnic table displaying 180 degree views of the coastline.

Finally got to stay at Johanna Beach, have been visiting the area for years as my husband spent 4 years living in Lavers Hill as a young boy and we have always loved the region and its incredible views and scenery. Our stay in Johanna Cottage with our now grown up children was wonderful so peaceful and serene with fantastic views through the valley and to the ocean. Its great to watch the shadows on the hills and the changing light, it certainly is a special place. Fantastic that it is dog friendly too, good walks to the beach and there are so many other breathtaking and interesting things to see and do in the area. The Cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable and it was so relaxing sitting by the fire reading and every now and then staring at the view through the window. The Cottage is very well maintained and equipped and the beds comfy and warm. We had planned a meal in Apollo Bay one evening but everyone wanted to stay at the Cottage! Would highly recommend as a peaceful and relaxing place to stay, will be booking again for sure.

We schedule an annual trip to Johanna Seaside cottages and it never disappoints. We just love the serenity, sensational views and the magnificent beach that is just a short 10 minute walk from the accommodation. The cabins are extremely well maintained and every little detail has been considered...we stayed at Johanna cottage this time around and the recent renovations are fantastic. The fact that this is pet friendly is the icing on the cake for us. Whether it's a morning in front of the fire reading a book, an afternoon on the balcony enjoying the sunshine and sweeping views of the valley, a quick trip into Apollo Bay for a bite to eat, or one of the many walks that are right at your fingertips, this place really has it all and we can't wait to schedule our next holiday at Johanna Seaside.

Fabulous venue. Very cosy in winter with the fire going when we arrived a real surprise. Little kids and big kids loved watching the chickens out the window and collecting the eggs. So secluded. We had the magnificent beach to ourselves and had the privilege of spotting Hooded Plovers on the beach. 11/10.

I randomly found this place on a google search last year and have had my eyes on it ever since. I'm really glad I was able to make the trip down and visit, it has instantly become a favourite and my partner and I plan on returning soon.

This place is just breathtaking. If you need to get away for a few days, you must book these cottages. I have never felt more relaxed or at peace on a holiday than I did here. My partner and I, and our two big dogs stayed at Glen View for three nights which is one of the older cottages. The views were breathtaking, and the cottage was warm and comfortable. Nice and close to Johanna beach, and lovely walks all round for the doggos. The cottage was clean, the beds warm and comfortable, and during the cold both the heater and the fireplace warm the place up quickly. The kitchen is fully equipped, and dog sheets are even provided to put on the provided dog beds for your puppies.

For those of you thinking of bringing dogs, the fencing is good and secure. However, if you happen to have escape artists like I do (husky/malamutes that can jump high/climb) I would advise against leaving them unsupervised in the fenced outside area, only because the way the fencing has been done they'll be able to find leverage to get themselves over the fence. If your dog isn't a houdini then it'll be nice and secure for them 🙂 Highly highly recommend and looking to book again to return soon for a longer period.

Amazing location and views from the cottage. Short stroll to Johanna beach. I recommend the bush walk on the property.
