This Year’s Queenscliff Music Festival: 28 to 30 November

The Queenscliff Music Festival is an annual multi-day festival featuring iconic Australian and international musicians, emerging musical talent, and food and fun for the whole family. The festival is held in the historic small town of Queenscliff, in the park around Point Lonsdale Lighthouse. Queenscliff itself is a charming community with Victorian-style architecture, antique stores and many great eateries. This festival on the seafront is bursting with a huge range of contemporary musicians. No matter your age or tastes, you are sure to find some artists you’ll love.

The QMF experience

The Queenscliff Music Festival was founded in 1997, and it still has a relaxed and joyous atmosphere without the crush of oversized crowds. It always features an eclectic mix of musical talent with fantastic venues and fun, appreciative audiences. The area is beautiful and the people are relaxed and friendly. There are multiple tent venues as well as music at various buildings—pubs, halls and restaurants—around town. The breadth of musical styles featured means as you meander, you can have good music, great food and fantastic company everywhere you go. This is your cure for any lingering winter blues, and it’s a wonderful experience whether you visit once or return year after year.

Need accommodation?

Australia has many premier music festivals, and the QMF is one of the best. While there are fine accommodations in Queenscliff, the popularity of the festival means that they will most likely be full up. If you don’t want to camp in a tent on the grounds, you’re going to have to look a little further afield.

Johanna Seaside Cottages is situated along the Great Ocean Road between Port Campbell and Apollo Bay. Our location means that Queenscliff is an easy drive, and every other amazing site and adventure along the Great Ocean Road is, too! We have comfortable, self-contained cottages perfect for couples or groups, with plenty of privacy and lovely views of the farm, bush and beach. Johanna Beach, with it’s amazing and dramatic scenery, is just a short walk away. There is also an indoor heated pool, fresh garden produce and a regular supply of organic eggs available for guests.

Come stay at Johanna Seaside Cottages for the festival, and stop to look at some of the best scenery Victoria has to offer along the way. The Twelve Apostles, Otway Fly, the Cape Otway Lightstation, and numerous waterfalls and beaches all make excellent diversions that will be as much fun for the family as the festival itself. You’ll enjoy lively crowds and music at the Queenscliff Music Festival, and then you’ll come back to a luxury accommodation in a lovely location, where there’s plenty of room for the whole family, even pets!
